there have been quite some changes to zabbix appliance for 1.8.4 - including zabbix update itself, upgrade to opensuse 11.3 and so on :)

it would be nice if somebody had the time to try out latest version of appliance and report any problems found.

zabbix itself is not 1.8.4rc2 but a bit later version - more specifically, it should be 1.8 branch rev 15289

currently this version is available as vmware/vbox/kvm and - hooray - ovf formats :)
if any other formats are badly needed, they probably can be built as well, but so far it's kept down to minimum for space & time reasons.

unfortunately, suse studio does not yet allow versions like "1.8.4rc2", thus this one is versioned as 0.0.10 :)

oh, yeah, actual download url... http://susegallery.com/a/MdKfmk/zabbix-x86?version=0.0.10

Keyboard doesn't get changed from boot F4-selection.
Still uses US keyboard.
I edited /etc/sysconfig/keyboard (changed KEYTABLE="us.map.gz"
to KEYTABLE="fi.map.gz"). Or you can say: "loadkeys -u fi.map".

Otherwise positively suprised with it. :)
Only after few hours of testing, thought.
But you can get a good feeling of it easily, without (necessarily) any "real"
environment.

hmm. if that is so, it's not zabbix specific thing, either suse or suse studio... i would expect that to be a known problem and on their bugzilla, though :)
