From time to time I have seen people ask in the forum if it is possible to query the Zabbix server for a list of currently active triggers. With the API this is now very simple to do, even better Zabcon supports this!

I finally had a chance to make some updates and minor fixes to Zabcon. That felt good to dig back into the code, even though there were a few moments of "wtf" was I thinking here?

I did a search in the forums today for Zabcon and was surprised to see the number of posts where people were referencing Zabcon. Guess this means I should get to getting and get my first major version out there!

That and find some more people to help develop Zabcon. :-)

Tonight I got back into the swing of things and started hacking on Zabcon again. I fixed a minor bug with the pausing of output, now it will continue when you actually "press any key". However if you press q or ctrl-c it will quit the output and if you press "a" it will show all of the output without pausing.

I've also started to work on the main API interface a little more too, I'm starting to work some error checking into the code so that for some functions it...

Life has been interesting as of late. A month ago I was living in California. Now I find myself living in the DC area. In the interveining month I've managed to travel to Latvia, find an apartment, move into it and unpack most of my stuff. Now the holidays are around the corner and the one thing that's starting to bother me is Zabcon development is behind. Not good.

This shall soon be fixed. I hope to have a somewhat capable cli client by the end of January. Now to figure out...
