17/03/2005: ZABBIX 1.1alpha7 released
This release introduces several important bugfixes (simple checks,
startup of housekeeper) along with better support of hard-linked
templates.
2005/02/27: ZABBIX 1.1alpha6 released
This release fixes several compilation problems for 64 bit platforms
and other reported issues.
It also introduces Overview screen, support for unlimited number of
user defined parameters (UNIX agents), passing of command line
arguments to the user parameters, hard-linked templates and other
functionality.
Note that the Overview screen is not optimised for performance
yet.
Also, be aware that hard-linked templates process modifications
of items only. Changes of triggers, graphs, screens will not be
reflected in corresponding linked hosts.
2005/01/27: ZABBIX 1.1alpha5 released
The release introduces separation of host statuses and availability data. It also contains other new features along with several important bug fixes.
2005/01/12: Support of Oracle is coming soon
Currently ZABBIX supports two database engines, MySQL and PostgreSQL. Support of Oracle will be interesting option
for those who are looking for best availability and enterprise level features.
Work has already been started. Estimated delivery date: 1st quarter of 2005.
2004/12/24: ZABBIX 1.1alpha4 released
The release introduces displaying of error reasons in case if a monitored parameter becomes unsupported or server unavailability. Also, error reasons will be displayed for undeliverable notifications.
New special parameter zabbix[log] will store warning and error messages generated by ZABBIX server in the database, thus making the information available from WEB interface.
Added support of plain text information in ZABBIX Screens.

Zabbix is an all-in-one 24x7 monitoring solution without high cost. Zabbix is released under the GPL, thus
