Zorka is a sophisticated programmable monitoring agent for Java. Zorka integrates monitored JVM with Zabbix directly in similar manner Zapcat used to work - using native Zabbix protocol. Compared to traditional JMX tools, Zorka pushes the limits quite far: by featuring its own bytecode instrumentation engine is is capable of monitoring arbitrary methods inside application and report results in arbitrary form (performance data, events/traps, etc.). Administrator can customize agent behavior by writing BeanShell scripts that can be executed by agent. For advanced users (and developers/maintainers), Zorka can be used for application profiling - it uses bytecode instrumentation and transaction tracing and is suitable for profiling 24x7 production applications. Zorka comes with over 50 ready to use Zabbix templates for various application servers and Java frameworks. License: GPLv3.
