Available Training Courses

Today Zabbix offers 2 standard training courses. Each course is designed for a particular type of user:

• Zabbix Certified Specialist course is intended for those who have just begun to understand Zabbix and want to get on track fast and in the right way. During the course you will learn about the main functionality of Zabbix monitoring software, its installation, setup and further maintenance.
   
• Zabbix for Large Environments course is designed for administrators of large enterprises and companies that use Zabbix to monitor large amounts of devices located in multiple datacenters.

Rihards is an experienced user of Zabbix Monitoring Software. He has been working with it for over 10 years, almost from the beginning; he has followed closely the development and improvements in all versions. For several years now Rihards is working for Zabbix SIA as a Senior Consultant and Trainer. In 2010 Rihards wrote a book “Zabbix 1.8 Network Monitoring”. He is the most experienced trainer for Zabbix and at the moment he is developing a new training programme for Zabbix 2.0.

Kodai has an experience of working with Zabbix for over 8 years now. He worked for Zabbix SIA as a Technical Support Engineer. From October 2012 Kodai manages Zabbix Japan branch in position of CEO. Also, he is a founder of Zabbix Japanese community from 2005. In 2010, Kodai wrote a Zabbix book in Japanese. He is the most experienced person for Zabbix in Japan.

Takashi Fukushima

NTT Technology Corporation

Since joining the company in 2009, Takashi has been active in Zabbix promotion as a leader of Zabbix development and support team. Especially, in source code analysis using development know-how which he cultivated at the previous job.

In Mr Fukushima’s opinion, Zabbix is an open source monitoring tool with the highest level of functions and scalability, allowing to meet a wide variety of requirements. It is a wonderful tool with flexible configuration, which improves the precision by the repeated use.

Akihiro Ito

NTT Technology Corporation

Mr Ito has 4 years of experience in working with Zabbix. He has been involved with Zabbix implementation consulting and support service. He writes Zabbix feature articles on the web and gives lectures on related topics. Mr Ito specializes in building infrastructures and virtual environments, and he is also engaged in NTTComTechnology cloud projects at the moment.

Mr Ito says that although Zabbix is open source, it has all required functions for monitoring in a package and is easy to customize and it is great benefit for the companies.

Goro Matsumura

NTT Technology Corporation

Since joining the company in 2011, Mr Matsumura is mainly working on Zabbix support service, building virtual environments and Zabbix training. In the past, Mr Matsumura was an instructor for network construction and has a reputation for the explicitness of the explanation.

Zabbix is open source, and at the same time excellent at flexible configuration and scalability. The greatest thing about it is the possibility of detailed monitoring configuration, which can meet the requirements of enterprise-class environments.

Gabriele Armao

Gabriele’s main task inside Systematica has always been the implementation of a system monitoring infrastructure, he chose Zabbix after trying other monitoring solutions, and developed many tools and scripts around it in order to provide services to Systematica’s customers. In order to improve his professionality, he became a Zabbix Certified Specialist for Large Environments in November 2010, then, two years after, in November 2012, he decided to move up and become a Certified Zabbix Trainer.

Alain Ganuchaud

Core IT Projects

Joining Hewlett-Packard company in 1985 , Alain used to manage Unix IT projects, in Grenoble, Milano and Geneva Head Quarter, where he has developed the first Database Monitoring Solution for IT Europe on top of HP OpenView. From 1999 he created his own company providing Open Source Monitoring Solutions. Alain was among the first adopters of Zabbix Monitoring Solution, and he has been working with Zabbix for over 6 years now. Mr. Ganuchaud holds Zabbix Certified Specialist, Zabbix for Large Environments, and Zabbix Certified Trainer certificates.

Tom Van Humbeeck

Open Future bvba

In 2012 Tom joined the company Open-Future, Zabbix partner in Belgium. His main focus at that moment was groupware installations. But later he was introduced to Zabbix Monitoring software. Since then Tom is actively involved in different projects related to implementation of Zabbix with several successful projects completed at companies from Belgium.

Tom studied Applied Informatics with specialization of Network and System Management. He holds Zabbix Certified trainer certificate.

Dimitri Bellini

Dimitri Bellini is a System Integrator at Quadrata di Bellini Dimitri. He had over 10 years on Unix experience within enterprise environment with extensive knowledge of storage arrays and SANs. Dimitri is using Zabbix since 2005.

In the beginning of 2013 he has attended Zabbix Certified Trainer course. Dimitri characterizes himself as Open Source solutions evangelist.

Training Options

There are several ways how you may apply for Zabbix Professional Training:

• On-site Training. This is the easiest and most comfortable way to participate in the professional training course, as long as you have at least 5 people to attend and a room with a projector to hold the training. You can order a session consisting of one or both courses. The main benefits of on-site training are:
  • the standard content of the training programs can be adjusted to your environment upon request
  • all participants are from the same company – thus specific or security sensitive topics can be discussed that otherwise would not be possible
  • training at your own premises saves time and money, while giving you a chance to select the most suitable time
• Hosted Training. If you have 2 or more participants to attend both courses and a meeting room to accommodate up to 10 participants, you may host a training event at your premises. You manage the event, we invite participants from other companies and provide professional trainer. It is so easy. And to make it more interesting, two of your participants will have a free seat at both courses.
• Scheduled Training. Take part in any sessions from the current Training Schedule. This list is updated frequently. Note that the number of places is limited, so the early birds will get the seats.

You may also propose your location for the next scheduled training session by filling-out a Training Location Request. The Zabbix training team takes into account this information when planning upcoming training sessions. You will get notified when training is scheduled for the region you have requested.
