Hi. I've succeeded in convincing my company to go forward with the implementation of Zabbix as the primary monitoring solution, but it wasn't until the ball was already rolling did the fact that there was no US-based company with which to contract support became a problem. Anyone have any ideas in this regard? We do have some issues that would make direct support a wonderful option, but unfortunately its a contract policy issue internally.

Thanks

Zabbix SIA provides support as well, check with their sales dept

sales@zabbix.com

They have several packages bronze/silver etc

The point of my post was that I needed a US-based partner for contract purposes since my company's purchasing department makes that a no-go.

To my knowledge there is as of yet no US based support company.

This and US training are two things I would like to see change. Zabbix SA has a big market in the US they are missing out on.

okay.. seriously this would be wonderful.... we've been having segfault and random funky issues all over the place. *grumbles in frustration* heh

i can't even post asking for help on this one as there is nothing i've found to narrow it down to a specific issue. (I did e-mail segfaults nd logs to support@ email).

regarding the crashes, feel free to open a thread in the problem forum - surely you'll get some hints on how to better debug it.
one way would be to compile zabbix server (assuming it is crashing) with debug information and getting a full backtrace when it crashes.

not holding this against anyone on the forum (and it doesnt stop me from trying), but i do port my issues on the forum :) and rarely get a response... and the people with similar issues that I find threads from don't get responses either.

this last time though I e-mail support and they came up with a fix, so that was awesome! yay support.. just wish I could pay for it...
