Deleted hosts bug [Archive]

Why do deleted hosts simply get flagged [DEL0] in the database?

Do these get cleaned up at any time?

I mention it only because in some areas deleted hosts show up in host drop down menu's (obviously very minor bugs but still there nontheless.) In addition to this, if the host was deleted with linkages still active, these linkages arent deleted.

i.e. Deleted hosts get linked updated. Not sure if this could cause additional problems.

Apart from minor frontend bugs, IMO b5 is what b1 should have been. Thanks to the Zabbix team for a product I can finally push for.

ZABBIX does not delete hosts immediately. It may take very long time (think about deleting NGb history). So, the host is renamed to <host>[DEL X] and then it is up to housekeeper to get rid of host-related information from ZABBIX DB.

I thought it might be housekeeper's job.

How long did this delete function need? You know i have big problems with performance on my server. So i delete all 1200 hosts. When does the db updated?
