IPMI error: Authentication type NONE not supported

    Hi,

I'm try to test the IPMI for HP ProLiant DL380 G6. It is using the iLO2 and the firmware version is 2.05.

Configured the user and enable IPMI over LAN.

But when I try to access it from Zabbix Server, I received the below error:

    ipmitool -H 10.10.10.1 -U zabbix sdr

    Authentication type NONE not supported
    Authentication type NONE not supported
Error: Unable to establish LAN session
    Get Device ID command failed
Unable to open SDR for reading

    Please advise.

    Thank you.

I issued the ipmitool command from the zabbix server itself and received above error.

Does anybody know how ipmitool must work?
                    How Zabbix use ipmitool?
I added IPMI host to my Zabbix server and it does not work!

In zabbix_server.log file nothting about ipmi!

                    zzz# cat /tmp/zabbix_server.log | grep ipmi
                    zzz#

I tried to use example wich I seen on http://ipmitool.sourceforge.net/manpage.html
                      But it used passfile.
Does somebody know format of passfile?
                      Maybe it will help?

                        It works!
                        correctly request must be:
                        ipmitool -I lanplus -U admin -P 12345678 -H 192.168.10.20 sensor

HP proliant servers use IMPI v2.0!!!
That's why ipmitool must use lanplus.
