Hi

I was wondering whether it is possible to view from just one page, the status off all the items corresponding to a monitored host? By this i mean, is it possible to see all the things being monitored on a host and from that see which items are ok or have failed (possible via coloured text). The network page is usefull BUT it only gives a green "OK"...is there a way to see more info regarding the items being monitored (and thus seeing if they are ok or if there's a problem) on a host from this page? OR is there a way to tailor the ALARMS page so that you can view the alarms relating to a particular host?

Also i know Zabbix can handle SNMP...i was wondering how i monitor hardware and get an alert when a device fails? - is this something which i configure on zabbix or the host machine?

Thanks in advance for any help provided...

Is it close to what you're thinking about:

Hi Alexei

Yup that looks like something im after...question is how do i get it thou? :-) Do i have to upgrade my zabbix server to 1.1aplha6 - and if so how?

Could you offer any advice on the SNMP question?

Thanks for your help....this was one feature which we felt zabbix was lacking and netsaint held over it.

P.S Am i rite in assuming a0, a1 etc are the individual names for hosts being monitored?

Hi

Have downloaded zabbix-1.1alpha5 however i am not sure how to proceed with the upgrade. How can i install it over the older version...with out lossing any config details? Does 1.1alpha5 contain the feature of displaying an overall status for each item on a monitored host? - i.e the feature discribed above...

Also can anybody advise on the SNMP question?? I am assuming SNMP traps need to be used (as opposed to pooling the host)...as i only want to recieve a trap from the host when a HD fails for example. Therefor do I have to configure the snmptrap.sh file and likewise do something on the monitored host??

Please advise, thanks
