First, good job Alexei, Zabbix is a great piece of software. We're using it to replace MRTG, and couldn't be happier.

Question - How ready is 1.1alpha for use in a production environment? Is anyone using it as such? I like what I've seen of it, but I also like to play it safe, heh.

Anyway, thanks in advance.

I would say from a stability stand point 1.1alpha3+ are ready for production. The problem is that if you roll it into production you will have to keep doing the incremental upgrades to get to 1.1-final. My guess is that Alexei will provide a DB patch for 1.0 to 1.1, but he wont provide a patch from 1.1a1 to 1.1-final, or a2 or a3 to 1.1-final. I could be wrong, but I wouldnt provide them. It will just be a bit of an upgrade headache if it is your production machine. Other than that, I see no problems with running it as production.
