Log file monitoring just with SNMP

    Hi there.

    Goals of this recipe:

    1. It DOES NOT need to install Zabbix agent
    2. It uses low level discovery, so with just one template you can monitor ALL your log files defined in SNMP agent

    1. Install and configure SNMP agent on your monitored server.

(If you speak spanish you can use http://wiki.legido.com/doku.php?id=i...e_en_gnu_linux )

    2. Add couple of logmatch entries on your /etc/snmp/snmpd.local.conf

(If you speak spanish you can use http://wiki.legido.com/doku.php?id=i...inux:snmp#logs )

    3. Restart SNMP daemon on your monitored server.

    4. On the zabbix server, import attached .xml which contains 'Template SNMP logs'

    4. Just link your host to that template. Maybe you will need to adjust your community name, either at host level or template level, through a Macro ({$SNMP_COMMUNITY})

    Hi ,

It throwing error as below. Can you please suggest..
    • Invalid tag "/zabbix_export/templates/template(1)/discovery_rules/discovery_rule(1)": the tag "snmpv3_securityname" is missing.
