Thanks for the hint! Yes, DBfree_result() is missing there causing memory leak. It will be fixed asap.

          Solution

          Hi!

          I found it. Function DBupdate_item_status_to_notsupported in src\libs\zbxdbhigh\db.c

          # diff db.old db.c
          965c965,967

          ---
          >
          > DBfree_result(result);

Is it possible that this also caused https://support.zabbix.com/browse/ZBX-467 ??

I don't know. We are unable to repeat this problem.

I would be very interested to hear that it resolves ZBX-467 as well.

I have triggers for it(and a script that restarts proxy =)), so in a few days I'll post here if the problem is gone.

Ok, cool. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon. Why don't all the weird things happen in our test environments?!

Still cannot be sure for 100% but it seems like my problem with postgres is also gone.

                          Still leaking...

I think I'm not doing the right thing to get this patched: I downloaded 1.6 again and recompiled it, but I'm still leaking. Can someone point me in the right direction for patching this?

                          Thanks!

I don't have this error message. But my servers memory is leaking, too.
The servers has 768MB memory and after a few hours there are only 7MB left. This happened from the start when no hosts and items where created.

Adding DBfree_result(result); into Function DBupdate_item_status_to_notsupported didn't change anything...
