    1.6.2. Data from proxy are lag more 1 hour

    I'm monitoring 100 hosts through zabbix-proxy.

    But zabbix_server receive data about them 1 or more hour later actual time.

    Parameters in zabbix_proxy.conf are follow:
    #HeartbeatFrequency=60
    ConfigFrequency=900
    #HousekeepingFrequency=1
    ProxyLocalBuffer=0
    ProxyOfflineBuffer=1

    Any ideas?

    I hate to ask, but is your time set right on your all of your servers? I had the same issue and after about an hour of troubleshooting it turned out to be my time was wrong.

      Of course.
      Time difference less 1 sec.

      It seems that proxy can't send all needed data to server.
      May be I need start more Trappers at server? Now StartTrappers=10 in zabbix_server.conf, but I use a lot of data from scripts through zabbix_sender.

        Make sure UTC time is the same on both servers.

            I, too, am getting upwards of 2 hours of data lag from my proxies. We are all using ntpd and pointing to authorized ntp servers in our org. Time are correct across the board.

              Going int Administration -> Queues, I see 7977 under "More than 10 Minutes". All data coming from poxies are 1.5 to 2 hours behind.

                hi,

                i had the same problem and i fixed it. i assume that you're using sqlite3 as the proxy database? than follow these steps:

                stop the proxy.
                move (mv) your DB file (defined in the zabbix_proxy.conf as DBName= ..) to another name like zabbix.db.old.
                than do the following to rebuild the zabbix.db (copied from manual)

                shell> cd create/schema
                shell> cat sqlite.sql | sqlite3 /var/lib/sqlite/zabbix.db
                shell> cd ../data
                shell> cat data.sql | sqlite3 /var/lib/sqlite/zabbix.db
                shell> cat images_sqlite3.sql | sqlite3 /var/lib/sqlite/zabbix.db

                after that maybe you have to set the write owner and permissions.

                the point is that i had many problems with the database-autocreation with sqlite3.

                i hope that will help.

                greets

                  Actually using mysql, but the logic looks sound. Will give it a try.

                    We had some problems in early 1.6.x releases. Now it is pretty safe to use built-in auto-creation of the SQLite database.

                      Is there anyone who is experiencing lag times from proxies? This is causing Zabbix to become unusable in our environment. We have lag times up to 2 hours!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

                        hm, the manual recreation of the database didn't work?
                        did you set the debug level in the proxy configuration higher?

                            you can do it simular like the sqlite3 re-creation. take a look at the manual, i hope it will work

                              Yep, it worked. I keep forgetting the proxy databases are not the same as the master server DB. It's all up to date now.

                              Thanks!!!
