Actions and Templates

Hello,

I'm using Zabbix 1.1 beta 7.
I have created several templates, with items and triggers so when I associate a new host to one of these templates, associated items and triggers are automatically created for the new host.
But how to create automatically actions too?

Currently I need to create one action for 1 specific trigger and for each host.
I tried to create an action for a template trigger, but actions are not created for all the hosts linked to this template.

Any idea how I can do it?

Hi

I am using beta6 . I am monitoring abt 220 servers using zabbix.
I have only 3 actions definedbased on the severity.

1. trigger severity = Disaster and trigger value =ON
2. trigger severity = high and trigger value = ON
3. Trigger severity = warning and trigger value = ON

This takes care of all the server's action.

I heard that you can group the actions according to the host group....
Define the action for the host group....

It works!

I created an action as you suggested with the following conditions:
- Host group = "my_host_group"
- Trigger severity = "High"
- Trigger value = "ON"

and it works fine for all my hosts!
