    graphs in custom template

    Hello all,

I am new in Zabbix and I would like to ask one question.

    - I created new custom template to monitor SNMP cisco device.
    - Added 2 items (inOctets, outOctets) to my template.
    - Created new graph in template to "draw" in/out traffic.

Now, I created new host and linked it with my custom template (actual cisco switch).

    - I am able to see incoming data from SNMP device (Dashboard->Latest Data) and counting in my items (which were inherited from Items from my template).

    Now comes the question:

    - This doesn't work for graphs. My host inherited graph which I created for template. But when I click on graph on the host I can see, that graph is greyed out and graph is not "drawing" anything.

    - How can I correctly inherit graphs from template? Why there is graph in host greyed out? (When I create graph directly in the host configuration, this graph works OK).

    THanks for any response!

    BR,
    Miro

Ahhh, better to read forum before post question. I know...

Cut&Paste from some other post here:

No, it's not a bug! You will see the graph only if you view the graph under Monitoring -> Graphs. There you will see the graphs, which you have defined in a template.

Under the host you will see only [no data], if the graph is linked from a template. Don't know if this should be. But graphs defined in template works... but not under the configuration menu.
