    SMTP false triggers

It appears that we get false positives saying that SMTP service is down every so often. When I am alerted then go to check the server, it's perfectly fine. Is there a way to debug what the actual cause is? Thanks.

I think this is because of timeouts.

In ZABBIX 1.1.2 we are introducing an additional value for simple checks, "2" - Timeout. Currently timeouts are treated as a service is down, starting from ZABBIX 1.1.2 you may make special processing for timeout situations.
