    Please help! No data in frontend after update to 1.4

    After updating from 1.1.7 to 1.4 no data is shown in frontend, but it seems that zabbix collect the data. In Report>Status of Zabbix:

    Number of hosts (monitored/not monitored/templates/deleted) 162(153/1/8/0)
    Number of items (monitored/disabled/not supported)[trapper] 312(305/7/0)[6]
    Number of triggers (enabled/disabled)[true/unknown/false] 257(250/7)[4/1/245]
    Number of events 32836

    Alerts work just fine, but there is no data, no graph, no screen. Please help!

    Patch.mysql was applied.

    Thank's

      i have a similar problem - appears (in the frontend) that all data is gone, but i can see it in the database. also, there is no 'Config' tab in the ui - what exactly did you do to make this work again? (i've logged in as 2 different admin users with same results)

      thanks!

        I had the exact same problem and when I logged in as admin there was no configuration tab. I editied the users table and changed my admin account's type to 2. After that everthing seemed to be fine.

        Hope this helps

          this should fix it:
          update users set type=3 where alias="Admin";

            thanks guys!! i found it shortly after posting (by perusing the php code! sure is nice to have the source!!) and you're right - the problem was that all my users became 'normal' or guest users. so i just set my admins (and a superadmin) types in the user table and violla!

            thanks for the quick response!! looking forward to playing with web monitoring and auto discovery!!

              There is one problem though with the way we are setting the users. By setting the "guest" user as an admin if you just want a simple monitor page the guest user as config rights. I created a "guest" group and then gave "read" access to all hosts/host-groups, then I added the guest user to the new guest group. Then set the guest acount back to a "zabbix user" and everthing works the way it use to. Sorry if this is a jumble of thoughts I was up pretty late tinkering with this and the coffee has not quite kicked in yet

                Another note,

                I had to re-link all my hosts to their old templates. They were all working and had all the triggers but the link to the template was not there. Re-linking worked no problem.
