My problem is that somehow some events get lost between zabbix and server. Im running Zabbix Server 1.8.8 and zabbix agent 1.8.9. item is collecting Error and Warring items from EventLog (Application, System). Somehow (randomly) my entries are not received (not showing in zabbix web).

I have created an eventlog Item, that checks for a specific occurrence. Simple enough.

I am very interested in upgrading to 1.8 because I have a windows server that needs it's event log monitored. It has a very large number of entries being placed in it which in 1.6.x causes a lot of lock timeouts with MySQL (since text has to go into disk based temp tables and not in memory).
