I have Zabbix 4.4 installed on a CENTOS system where it worked perfectly. After updating the Linux libraries, Zabbix reported all the hosts that were unavailable as resolved, even though the host itself was inaccessible.

I have a problem on my zabbix. I added 1000 hosts. I just a using default icmp ping template for my hosts. But, almost half hosts is not seem true value(up, down value). Also, I doing ping from zabbix to that hosts. Do you have any idea to solve this problem?

I wanted to monitor internet availability by pinging some known providers. I thought that, by taking the response time of those DNS's, it would give some good indication of availability and how is performance. Actually, I find those results very good.

I am using ICMPPing to simple check. I tried to add it manually and also using the template. Both don't work.

All gave me this error:
fping failed: /usr/sbin/fping: You need -i >= 1 and -p >= 10

I've an installation of Zabbix 2.2.7 and I'm attempting an upgrade to 3.0.4 , different backend - using the upgrade scripts is not an option, I think, so I've taken the "export/import" route, which has gone well so far.

Are pings sent from the zabbix server or from the host you registered it in? It might be a dumb question but it really bothers me thinking about it .
