What is the purpose of template module ether like snmp? It only contains duplex status of the interfaces, why should one want a separate template... -

This may be a bold statement.
I used Zabbix 3.x and 4.x before and used Discovery, then the actions would add hosts according to some snmp parameters and/or discovery rules used.
