Running OpenSuse 11.3 and compiled zabbix 1.8.4 from source. When I go to the setup php page I get:

On the phpinfo page I have:
mysql.default_socket /var/run/mysql/mysql.sock
default_socket_timeout 60
mysql.default_socket ...
1 result in 0.0024 seconds.
