MAP with network consumption?

I've saw someone did a network map with bandwidth consumption at links. But he doesn't say how to do this.
My intention is do a network map like weathermap.
I've installed the weathermap and I'm using this at Zabbix Server. But it is not easy to administrate.

The MAPS can show links between devices and their status
Is it possible to add graphics visualization loading when put mouse over link/device like in weathermap?...
