    Zabbix 3.0 Centos6 Repository

Will there be a zabbix official repository for Zabbix 3.0 with RHEL/CentOS 6.x? At the moment there's only a repo for RHEL 7.

Just came here to ask the same thing. RHEL6 repo with binary rpms would be greatly appreciated.

I completely agree too. Centos 6 is a LTS release. It would be expected that vendors supporting this platform also support Centos 6, in addition to Centos 7.

Script the build system out. It shouldn't be too hard.

              Guys,

EL5 and EL6 are enterprise LTS operating systems, still under maintenance of Red Hat. Not only packages for EL6 are needed but also for EL5. I mean AGENT packages, no all of them. In our company, there are still many financial apps, which runs on EL5 and the migration is not possible. So please consider creating agent packages for EL5 too. Many thanks for all your work .

              Regards!

                  The easiest workaround

I spent 30 minutes on this as well. I'd Totally forgotten that zabbix was running on my old Centos 6.7...
For Centos <7, one will need php 5.4+, glib (that's the problem!!!) and some other stuff.
The easiest way is to setup a Centos 7 server, install all the RPMs and dependencies. Dump DB and restore. Then just restore DB and run installer. Zabbix, starting from v2, will upgrade DB automatically. Just did that yesterday. no issues at all.

Did the same process with our Zabbix server installation on Friday. Went smoothly

I can see packages for EL5 and EL6 here http://repo.zabbix.com/zabbix/3.0/rhel/ . Are they "official" and ready to install on production?

Because it can not be configured with OS standard package, at the moment seems not to publish the server module.

I am running with the SCL on CentOS 6.
However, SMTP authentication is not available.

                              Hello all,

Thanks a lot for this packaging and new version.

In our company we still use Centos 6.7 for our server. We would very much appreciate the Zabbix 3.0 server rpms as well !

                              Regards,
                              Stéphane
