"Running processes" peaks on both, proxy and server.

What is causing this? As you can see, there is a stable behavior, for moments, but from time to time, it abruptly starts to do those peaks.

Server:

# ps aux|grep zabbix|wc -l
263

Proxy 1 (THIS IS A SIMPLE PROXY, nothing more on it):

# ps aux|grep zabbix|wc -l
183

Proxy 2:

#  ps aux|grep zabbix|wc -l
183

OK, first of all, thanks to pidzero, dimir, and volter for the help on the chat.

I increased http pollers in proxy 1, and I decreased pollers, and now the peaks reach 30, as much. But still thinking about, is that too much? Is anybody else having these peaks?

P.S.: Sorry, for the late, but i forgot to clarify, that it's all virtualized under VMWARE.

I have those values default. Forgot to say that my installation works in almost all active mode (agents and proxies). Just some snmp and pasive agents.
