    Base64 in e-mail

    Hello,

I've a question about the notifications through e-mail. Sometimes when Zabbix sends a notification through e-mail it used base64 encoding in the e-mail messages.

We are sending these e-mails to a semafoon so we don't want the base64 encoding. Is there any way to disable this?

    Nobody?

The strangest is that zabbix does not apply this on all e-mails.

My russian is not good enough to follow the whole conversation in the bugreport .

What I understand is that the mail now is send in utf-8/base64 as default? sow how can I prevent it from doing that? I already looked through the source of the zabbix_server and zbxemail lib but couldn't find where zabbix is encoding te message.

Firstly - what version of zabbix_server you are using?
          Read this and this.

Kind of a shame that alert messages can't be downgraded to plaintext as it would simply email-SMS delivery without the gymnastics of using cli_sms_clickatell.php (which is much appreciated, may i add)
