Zabbix proxy and high availabitity

Hello,
This documentation describes how to setup zabbix server with HA:

I'm looking for same kind of advises in order to avoid a SPOF with Zabbix proxy implementation.

I've found Günther Sommer's presentation about HA:

He talks about the Zabbix way of doing HA using distributed monitoring with proxies.
It effectively solves issues related to link failures but I still can't get the point when it's the proxy itself who goes down. No one has best practices to share about it?
