    WMI - Agentless monitoring?

    Hello,

I am new to this Forum.
First of all. Thanks for this nice monitoring tool!

With version 2.2 is WMI build into the Zabbix agent for Windows.
Is there any way, to install this agent on a Windows host an to use this agent as a proxy to monitor any other Windows based machines via WMI without to install the agent on them?

Thx in advanced for your answers!

    Agentless monitoring

    Hello,
I also think that agentless monitoring is the best choice in large enviroinment.
I have many server in a domain and with right permission I can check all i want.

Agent is useless in many situation when you can use wmic command without use agent.

You have to manually create you script, after execute the command it have to give back the data you want: memory, process number, on off, etc

Yes, you read data with zabbix and use it for monitoring.
Make zabbix agentless is not simple, it need hard work to rewrite control and all trigger. Are you in large environment?

              so around 100 windows boxes.
So you use one windows agent to start custom scripts to collect wmi infos from your other windows boxes?

Is not important if you have agent or not to start the script, important is the result. You have one box and from this you check all other boxes.
