Monitoring an Adaptec RAID-Controller on ESXi 5

I'm new to the monitoring stuff and set Zabbix on an Ubuntu 12.04.2-Sever. Works great. I tried a script / template for an Adaptec-RAID-Controller which I found here: https://github.com/olindata/tribily-...Adaptec/script.
After modifying the script and some fondling around yesterday everything worked like a charm. Until this morning when the arcconf-program could'nt get any information anymore.
Problem was that the /var/log/arcconf.log on the ESXi-Server got kinda big (32MB) and the ramdisk was full then. After removing and the logfile everything worked again.
Does anybody have experience with this?
