items failing with network error after upgrading to 1.9.8

Hi,

I just upgraded from 1.9.6 to 1.9.8 and the majority of my items are failing now.

I've logged a ticket about this

Rolled back to 1.9.6 and it's fine.

It seems all the errors logged are for LLD items, but it was also failing to regularly collect data for non LLD items.
