heya,
ive been playing around with zabbix from some time now and recently i had to add some hosts as snmp templates. now i have a little 'problem' : one of the snmp monitored hosts is 48 port switch, which has snmp cumulative counters for each port. thats all nice, but id like to see thruoutput on these ports. is there any way to do this other than adding new snmp items which store data as speed per second for each port? basically id need that just for graphing needs
oh, and i found a funny behaviour if u add bad ip for snmp host, like 192.1681.16. zabbix causes mysql to go insane with millions of sql requests, cpu usage can hit 80% on celeron 2ghz when monitoring only 2 hosts(one with bad ip)!
regarding maps, i think i already saw it here on forum but still, when u add a map, info is stored in database (checked with phpmysql), but web frontend doesnt show it, so u need to manually enter url to it, like http://localhost/zabbix/charts.php?g...0008&graphid=1
i am using version zabbix 1.1beta8 on gentoo
i think thats enough questions for 1st post
