Hi
We are using Zabbix since 1.6 and now 3.0 (because it's LTS) and are thinking about switching to 4.0 as soon as it is available and working fine.
Because we have a large historical database in MySQL we are exploring the possibilities to use Elastic Search for historical data.
Now I've seen at https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...c_search_setup that Elastic Search support is experimental
In addition this experimental support is limited to version 5.0.x to 6.1.x but the current version is 6.3.2.
Now my questions:
1. Is the experimental support limited to 4.0.0.alpha9 pre-release or in general for 4.0.x ?
2. How about using newer versions than 6.1.x - any experiences, yet ?
3. Does the migration from 3.0 to 4.0 migrate the non-historic data, if finished. the zabbix server starts working and the historical data is migrated in the background ?
I've checked the documentation but there is unsufficient information about this topic.
Thanks in advance for any enlightenment :-)
Norbert
