7.0.0beta3 - Host unavailable in widget when only active checks

My testhost shows as unavailable in the availability widget on the dashboard, when I just use active checks.
I configured the widget to use the interface type active as well, but still the host shows as unavailable.
Tried to add another random template (ICMP Ping), but that did not help either.
Am I missing something?
