I'm running my demo Zabbix box on CentOS and now have my new server which I also plan to run on CentOS. Since the server has the capability of running a 64 bit OS I thought I'd ask about it here. Other than addressing more memory (which I don't have anyway right now), is there any advantage to running the 64 bit version? Are there any disadvantages?
I'll be using a 2.5GHz dual core processor with 4 gigs of ram and approx. 300 gigs of RAID 5.
Any suggestions as to which version of the OS I should use? Please tell me what those advantages are, if there are any. Or, if I'm better off with the 32 bit, why?
Thanks,
