workflow of handling events
I am confused about some basic concepts. Here's the existing workflow as I see it but I am missing some proper steps:
1. Item collects information
2. Trigger applies logic to the item output
3. Event is created
4. Action gets fired from a trigger
5. Engineer receives alert
6. ?????
1. What is the logical next step?
2. If he acknowledges the event, what does that do to the event?
3. Can events be deleted w/out acknowledged?
4. If a trigger is modified while an active event is in place, what happens? I see this happening if an engineer decides that the thresholds in the trigger are inappropriate.
