Host status is not getting updated.

I am using zabbix 1.0 on Suse 9.1 ....and monitoring lot of stuff.

After clicking on "latest values", I could see that Items values are getting updated except for host status.You can see the example below:

FTP server is running 20 Sep 11:23:47 1 - Graph Trend Compare 
Host information 20 Sep 13:51:15 Linux bwga092 2.2.16 ... - History - - 
Host status 29 Aug 14:32:26 0 -2 Graph Trend Compare 
Host uptime (in sec) 20 Sep 13:51:50 4m19d19h16m27s +5m0s Graph Trend Compare

This is happening for each host.

Can anyone give me pointers why it is not updating the "update time" and value of "host status"...???
