I am monitoring a host by snmp. There are several devices to be monitored but there is also one OID giving me an "overall state". My idea is for performance reasons only to check this overall state. And if a trigger on this item is true then I would like to check the system more deeply, so the checks of the other items should be activated until overall state is good again.
But as I am new (moved from Nagios) I am completely lost how to do it with Zabbix.
