Set Trigger Acknowledged by script

I am just about to configure notifications by call like described here:

(will put my configs there when I am finished

But the problem is that if we have a chain of people to call in case of alert we must have a mechanism to stop calling other admins if one was reached and he confirmed the call.
Therefore I am searching a way to set a trigger to "ack" to be able to stop escalation. Can I set a trigger to ack by script?
