I'm using zabbix to monitor several networks. Every network have own proxy server. In one network I need to use autodiscovery feature. But I can't solve problem with naming new hosts.
I need that new hosts will be named by there names which are written in zabbix_agentd.conf of every host, but hosts are named with there IPs.
As I underestand Zabbix is trying to resolve name by DNS, but DNS on server side doesn't know that IP.
Why it is not possible to use configured name of host during autodiscovery? I thing that many admins could have same problems.
