Hi Guys
I have read a few suggestions on the forum on how to do this, but I'm trying to get a better understanding of how the "background" data transfers will work.
Basically, I want to be able to setup a Primary server at SiteA, and for starters, a Proxy server at SiteB. Between these the only connection is over the Internet. From what I understand, the way to go is to have a VPN Tunnel between the two servers running through the two firewalls at each site.
Am I understanding this correctly? If so, what is actually happening in the background to transfer this data? Is it a permanent connection, or is it an "on demand" connection?
I've been running Zabbix for over a year and think the product is awesome. If I can get this working correctly I will be able to consolidate all my remote sites into a Primary site at my base office.
