    Where to put precompiled code

    Hello!

I have entered a thread in troubleshooting with a compile issue but was curious about something else. I am just starting with Zabbix to try it out to replace Tivoli Monitoring on AIX, but I can't get it to compile properly. I decided to download the latest pre-compiled version to see if I can get it to work that way. I have placed the zabbix_agentd in /opt/zabbix/bin, as well as the zabbix_get and zabbix_sender. I created a zabbix_agent.conf and put in my zabbix server (which is running properly) into the file as the only change. When I run the zabbix_agentd - it gives no errors but also does not run.

What else do I need to create (log file directory, PID directory, etc...) to make it work?

    Thanks!!
