I understand Zabbix monitoring tool enables real-time monitoring through active/passive item definition. However I have a usage scenario where the monitoring data will only be available on job completion, i.e. monitoring offline or after events. Does Zabbix monitoring supports this feature. To be clear, the usage scenario I have is much more complex than simply using trapper or sender.
The point is we are trying to using Zabbix as a mediator for custom monitoring tools deployed at different organisations, where a central Zabbix server is used to cache monitoring data gathered from custom monitoring tools. Given the fact of hetergeneous implementation of custom monitoring tools, some of which does not support real-time monitoring tool, we need find out some way to integrate custom monitoring tools for offline monitoring to Zabbix.
Anyone has similar situation and recommendations? Thanks in advances.
