I've noticed that several users are now dabbling with the zabbix java gateway in the beta build. While we have a mechanism for jmx monitoring I'd like to evaluate/use the new native method.
Can I ask, is it possible to use the Java gateway on its own with older versions of zabbix, like 1.8.9? Or do I have to set up a beta environment to do that?
