I need to use zabbix to query for WMI information from MS Windows Systems.
I've read conflicting things regarding Zabbix and WMI support.
It seems as though there isn't really any proxy support for queryin wmi. Can anyone confirm this?
I can write my own interface to query WMI information from the linux proxy using python. What I am not sure of is how can I tie that in so that I can attach a template that will have items that run on my proxy, query wmi and then associate the results to the system that I want to monitor, instead of the proxy. I believe that I need to add a new zabbix agent type that is visible via the web interface on the centralized server and that can communicate with the proxy.
Any help here would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
