Hello,
using zabbix 1.6.5 i would like to do a simple check, to monitor a http adres. This would be simple
In the manual chapter 9 there is some explanation about this. But somehow i must do something wrong, because the status is Failed on "Login" [1 of 1] Error: couldn't resolve host name
I have added under configuration/hosts a host, an application and added a scenario with it. In Hosts Status is Monitored and Availability is Available.
When i added host, the "connect to" is IP address, that's possible? if i change it to dns name i get the same error, so...
What is it that i overlook?
Edit:
i'm a little bit further with the "simple check". The status is now OK.
But...i would like to monitor when it's not OK. The manual says;
As soon as a scenario is created, Zabbix automatically adds items. These items can be used to create triggers.
I have created triggers, {host:web.test.fail[test 2].last(0)}=0 (so i know it's reachable), but there is something that i don't understand.
If i disable the scenarios and enable the trigger, the trigger give the status that the adress is still available???
even stranger is that the "age" was 1 hour when i disabled the trigger en when i enabled the trigger the "age" is 1 hour and 10 min. So somehow it's still running....
how is this possible? Why is the "age" still running?
