We're looking at replacing our cacti/hyperic setup with zabbix, but from what I read it sounds like our setup of 30 hosts and 600 cacti data sources would need 20-30GB disk space and could generate some fairly heavy database traffic, so the little xen VM we have running cacti with a 7GB drive of nfs-mounted shared storage isn't going to cut it.
It sounds like we want local, dedicated disk behind the database, and that we don't want to share it with our main production database because of the potential load.
Is that about correct, or am I overestimating?
