I read about speed up by turning on compression on apache.
But i got bit problem with this.
When compresion is on:
download by firefox: 1,87 MB (bytes: 1*962*754)
download by wget : 1,319,621 485K/s in 2.7s
When compresion is off:
Download by firefox: 1,87 MB (bytes: 1*962*721)
download by wget : 1,319,621 459K/s in 2.8s
To be sure that gzip compresion is on i use firebug - i see "Content-Encoding gzip"
There is no visible speed up, thre is no noticed compresion.
what can be wrong?
And why wget download just 1,3mb and firefox dowload in the same time almoust 2mb?
