We want to monitor the System Log on our Windows servers. As soon as an update arrives on the Server, EventId 17 is created in the system log and I want to create a trigger for that so we know when an update has arrived on our server.
To start working with that I created an item for a Windows Server which should display the System log, but it doesn't...
I created this item :
Type : Zabbix Agent (active)
Key : eventlog[system]
Type of information : Log
Update Interval : 30
Keep history : 90
Store Value : as is
Status : enabled
But when I go to "latest data" the "Last check" is "Never" and there's no value....
What am I doing wrong? The agent is 2.0.3 and in the zabbix_agentd.log I defined the hostname... All other items for this server are working...
I also changed the debug to level 4, but after that I can't see this particular item in the log, but I do see the others...
