Hello zabbix users,
is there a way to prevent misconfigured zabbix-agents (same hostname used more than once) from sending their data too and thus overlaying the data of the original host?
We recognized this accidantally once when we cloned a host and forgot to change the hostname option in the zabbix-agent.conf. I know one can use Hostnameitem to make this dynamic but it doesn't stop one sending faked data as another host.
Our environment: Only Linux machines, zabbix server 2.0.5, zabbix agentd version 2.0.3 and 2.0.6.
