I've been searching around the forums and google looking for some hints on how to get Zabbix to email alerts via Amazon SES. Came across a python script that the readme said to drop into the actionscripts folder but haven't figured out how to get that to be usable.
My scenario:
Have a custom script running via cron job to check a webservice and parse the results. Depending on the results, use zabbix_sender to write back to the monitoring server, setting Last Value for a trapper item. Then have an action that will look at the Last Value, and send email alerts when certain values are detected.
I have all of the above working except the email sending. The Zabbix email config UI doesn't have a way to supply the additional credential info needed by SES (at least that I've found).
Has anyone been able to figure this out? Am I just missing something something obvious?
