I have been playing with this on Windows and am extremely impressed!!!!!!
I installed the agent as a service, using a config and I am getting some awesome info.
My question, can I do roughly the same thing with Linux... in other words.. move over an agent and a config file, etc. without downloading, making, installing, etc.
On windows I created a c:\zabbix directory and put my .exe in there as well as my zabbix_agentd.conf.
What would the equivalent procedure be in linux (centos 4.3 and RedHat 4.3) without doing the make install. will I need to create a zabbix user for security reasons, etc?
I am ok with linux, after all... i was able to get this installed and running ont he server.... Any help would be much appreciated.
